Ferrying a refurbished Grumman Tiger from south Florida to California. Tstorms, anyone?

Approaching Tallahassee. Thunderstorms to the west of us provided an amazing full-circle rainbow, promises of good things to come on our flight.
A respite from the weather over Georgia.
We stopped in Shreveport, LA for gumbo and parked next to this T-38 from the 560th FTS at Randolph AFB in Texas. I offered to trade the Grumman for this Northrop, but they declined.

Dramatic terrain near El Paso marks the end of the flat-as-a-pancake Texas topography.
You don't see many of these anymore. A vintage Douglas DC-7 on the ramp at the ironically named Coolidge, AZ (where the temperature was about 120 deg F).
